Fully reopening the National Personnel Records Center is vitally important to the operation of veterans’ affairs offices throughout the country. With that said, we wish to voice support for the RECORDS Act legislation introduced by U.S. Rep. Fred Keller.

Keller, a former state representative from Kreamer who has served in the U.S. House since 2019, is scheduled to answer constituent questions and provide an update on legislative priorities.
Washington, DC - Since November of 2020, U.S. Rep. Fred Keller and several of his colleagues have been calling for the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) to start catching up with a massive backlog of over 500,000 vital information requests from veterans and their families.
The NPRC is currently operating at 25 percent of its typical capacity.
