The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded over $2.4 million in grants to Susquehanna County to assist with repairing roads and bridges that were damaged in last year’s flash flooding.
The grant award was made official in an announcement from U.S. Rep. Fred Keller on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Two bills co-sponsored by U.S. Rep. Fred Keller that are aimed at helping with the expansion of broadband Internet into rural areas passed the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday, Dec. 16.
The bills are HR 4229, which is known as the Broadband DATA Act, and HR 4227, which is known as the MAPS Act.
The Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded $4.2 million to Global Tungsten & Powders (GTP) Corp.’s Towanda plant to develop and manufacture components of ammunition, the company announced on Friday, Dec. 13.
