Keller signs pledge to protect police
U.S. Rep. Fred Keller is pictured signing Heritage Action’s Police Pledge, formalizing his commitment to ensure that the nation’s police officer have the resources they need to do their jobs effectively and keep their communities safe amidst calls to defund the police. Keller has taken part in multiple law enforcement listening sessions throughout his district to better inform discussions in Washington D.C., and recently proposed the Defund Cities that Defund the Police Act that restricts certain grant funding to state and local governments that defund the police. “Our police officers represent the thin barrier that stands between order and chaos, and they are a force of good that protects the innocent from those would do them harm,” Keller said. “I am proud to sign the Police Pledge and reaffirm my commitment that I will not tolerate any calls to defund our police. Without our police, the anarchy we see in our cities would be just the beginning.”
