Congressman Fred Keller announces Juniata High School student accepted to military service academy
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) announced Wednesday that Garrett Baublitz, a current senior at Juniata High School, has been accepted into the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
The acceptance comes following a nomination from Congressman Keller as a result of a recommendation from Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District’s Academy Review Board.
Among Garrett’s achievements, he is captain of the Juniata High School track and field team and cross-country team. He is also active in the Juniata High School band and many high school clubs.
On Garrett’s acceptance, Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) made the following statement:
“I congratulate Garrett for choosing a future of service to his country by attending the United States Naval Academy.
“Garrett’s application showed an outstanding record of academic achievement and service to his community. I am sure that background will help him be a success at the Naval Academy and during his future military career.
“I thank the members of Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District’s Academy Review Board for their service and recommending Garrett for his nomination. I look forward to hearing about his continued achievement in the Naval Academy and beyond.”
