Congressman Fred Keller announces Lewisburg Area High School Student accepted to military service academy
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) announced Wednesday that Hannah Castellan, a current senior at Lewisburg Area High School, has been accepted into the United States Air Force Academy, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The acceptance comes following a nomination from Congressman Keller as a result of a recommendation from Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District’s Academy Nomination Board.
Among Hannah’s achievements, she is captain of the Lewisburg Area High School Tennis Team and she is active in band, various church ministries, and in volunteering in the Lewisburg community. Hannah’s sister currently attends the United States Air Force Academy and both of her parents are veterans.
On the acceptance, Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) made the following statement:
“I congratulate Hannah for choosing a future of service to her country by attending the United States Air Force Academy.
“Hannah’s application showed an outstanding record of achievement and service to her community. I am sure her background and family history of military service will help her be a success at the Air Force Academy and during her future military career.
“I thank the members of Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District’s Academy Nomination Board for their service and recommending Hannah for her nomination. I look forward to hearing about her continued achievement in the Air Force Academy and beyond.”
