Congressman Fred Keller congratulates Wyalusing Jr./Sr. High School Student accepted to military service academy
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) announced Tuesday that Alex Patton, a current senior at Wyalusing Jr./Sr. High School, has been accepted into the United States Air Force Academy, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The acceptance comes following a nomination from Congressman Keller as a result of a recommendation from Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District’s Academy Nomination Board.
Alexander’s achievements include being elected as Wyalusing Student Council Vice President and outstanding athletic achievement as part of the track and field team.
On the acceptance, Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) made the following statement:
“I congratulate Alex for choosing a future of service to his country by attending the United States Air Force Academy.
“Alex’s application showed an outstanding record of athletic and academic achievement and service to his community. I am sure his background and family history of military service will help him be a success at the Air Force Academy and during his future military career.
“I thank the members of Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District’s Academy Nomination Board for their service and recommending Alex for his nomination. I look forward to hearing about his continued achievement in the Air Force Academy and beyond.”
