Says President has shown strong response to recent Iranian aggression

In case you missed it, Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA) was a guest on Thursday’s episode of Fox & Friends First where he said Democrats are overplaying their hand by comparing President Donald Trump’s response to the storming of the U.S. Embassy in Iraq to the Benghazi debacle that occurred under President Barack Obama.

“When somebody attacks Americans or America's interests, President Trump stands up for them and I think the world needs to understand that,” Congressman Keller told host Heather Childers.

“He’s willing to show America’s teeth in these situations around the world and, when they don’t respond appropriately, he’s willing to show America’s bite and make sure that our foreign policy to advance good around the world is taken seriously. It hasn’t been done in the past.”

Here are some more highlights from the interview:

“The Democrats are vastly overplaying their hand in criticizing the President. When you look at what has happened, this has happened because the President believes in negotiating from a position of strength and I think there are some people on the other side that believe negotiating from a position of weakness is better.”

“I agree with the President that America is strong, that America stands for good, and that we’re going to stand up for that and keep our promises and make sure other foreign governments are keeping their promises to us.”

“I think some of the criticism you are seeing from the Democrats…the establishment, you are looking at people who have been in politics for decades and what have they really shown? Then you have a person, Donald Trump, who is a businessman who says, ‘I’m going to run for President and do things a little bit differently’ and, as a non-politician, he’s done more in three years than they’ve done in decades.”

“Their disdain for him is probably because he’s successful in doing what’s right and advancing American policy around the world and helping our economy here at home. Things they’ve been unable to accomplish.”
