Says Biden policies are impeding economic recovery

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Fred Keller (PA-12) made the following statement regarding the April jobs report released today showing a dramatic and disappointing slowdown in job growth with only 266,000 jobs added last month:

“While the anemic jobs numbers in April are concerning, they are not surprising, given the fact that Joe Biden’s disastrous tax-and-spend packages are paying Americans more to stay home than to enter the workforce.

“Just this week, our team checked in with large and small businesses in Pennsylvania’s 12th District to see how they are getting through the pandemic. Every employer we talked to said the same thing: there are more job openings than workers willing to fill those spots.

“This pandemic has shown the threat of government dependency. The solution for our economic recovery has been there all along: reopen the economy, end the wasteful spending, and get Americans back to work.”
