Congressman Keller: “It’s time to reopen PA”
Washington, D.C. – Today, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf announced his administration will lift some restrictions imposed on restaurants and other small businesses. Effective April 4, 2021, indoor dining capacity will be raised to 75 percent, other indoor events will resume at 25 percent, and outdoor events will be permitted to operate at 50 percent of maximum capacity.
In response to the governor’s announcement, Congressman Keller made the following statement:
“While the governor’s announcement is welcome news to thousands of business owners and workers across Pennsylvania who have suffered under his draconian shutdown orders, this decision is too little too late. CDC guidance, declining case counts and hospitalizations, the availability of vaccines, and the actions taken by neighboring states to lift COVID restrictions indicate we are in a position to safely reopen. If a restaurant can operate safely at 75 percent capacity, it can do the same thing at full capacity. It’s time to reopen Pennsylvania.”
