USDA awards grant to Thompson Hose Company
The United States Department of Agriculture on Monday announced a Rural Development investment of $144,300 for the Thompson Hose Company in Thompson, Susquehanna County.
The investment, comprising of a $50,000 grant and $94,300 loan, will allow the Thompson Hose Company to purchase a new four-wheel drive ambulance. The new ambulance will allow Thompson Hose Company to reliably deliver emergency medical services, when needed, and cut down on ongoing repairs for the company’s current ambulance.
The following statement on the grant can be attributed to Congressman Fred Keller (R-PA):
“Providing emergency medical care in rural Pennsylvania is a difficult task and this grant money will allow the Thompson Hose Company to more reliably provide emergency medical services when called upon. I thank the USDA Sec. Sonny Perdue and the United States Department of Agriculture for providing this Rural Development investment money for this needed service.”
