A project aimed at eliminating contaminated drinking wells and constructing a new wastewater treatment plant will get a financial boost in terms of a grant and loan from the PA Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST).

U.S. Rep. Fred Keller made the funding announcement on Friday, Oct. 18.

WASHINGTON — On Tuesday, Congressman Glenn Thompson, Dean of the Pennsylvania Republicans, requested that the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence provide increased transparency and unrestricted access of Ambassador Kurt Volker’s testimony transcript to all members of Congress.

The entirety of the Pennsylvania Republican delegation joined Thompson in this request.

The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PennVest) announced last Wednesday it had awarded a loan of $3,317,652 and a grant of $10,008,698 to complete the Lake Carey Sewer Project, by constructing a wastewater conveyance system and treatment plant, including a low pressure sewage collection system.
